How BSSC Scores Your Typing
- Both English and Hindi typing are qualifying — a candidate must clear both, not just one, to pass the typing stage.
- Hindi must be typed in Mangal (Unicode) font using the Remington GAIL keyboard layout. Krutidev is not accepted in the actual BSSC exam.
- Scoring is based on net speed — your gross (raw) WPM minus a deduction for every uncorrected error, not the raw typing speed alone.
- English typing runs for 10 minutes on a ~QWERTY layout; aim for 90%+ accuracy since error deductions directly reduce your net WPM score.
